Description
Let me explain the title .... I noticed a of photograph on the internet that showed a similar concept, it suggested that the photograph is not photo-shopped, and that the tear is real - the idea is that you have the model lay face down, and at the moment the tear forms, and a droplet appears you take a photograph using a fast shutter speed! To be honest I am not convinced, but I love the concept of a tear being almost pulled from the eye.
In my mind I can imagine this happening when in zero gravity - I.e. your resting on your bunk in the International Space Station, 250 miles above Earth, feeling lonely and missing your loved ones, tears well up in your eyes - under normal gravity they would just roll down your face - however in zero gravity they form a droplet - dragging the pooled liquid from your eye and forming the drawing above!!!! I am sure someone on DA will correct me, and say this could not happen - but for now I like the idea
This is a BIG drawing - 65X50cm on A2 Bristol Board type smooth paper, using a 0.5mm mechanical pencil with 4B leads, and a range of traditional graphite pencils up to 8B, it takes a long time to cover such a large area - but I love the realism it gives when shrunk down to monitor size
If you like this eye perhaps you will like my previous eye;
Reference photo:qiq.ws/media/npict/1103/origin… I found on a Russian website - I apologise beforehand if this is your photo, despite spending half a day seeing if I could find the original - I failed!!!
