Sad II

For some reason I enjoy (not sure that is the correct word!) drawing sad children, normally children are sad because they cannot get what they want, they have to go to bed when they do not want to, or they have been naughty and told off - however sometimes they are sad because they are hungry, have experienced a tragedy or just have nothing to be happy about - i think this is the case in this piece. If you look into his eyes you can only imagine what has made him sad.

Drawn with mechanical pencil 0.5mm and 4B leads, and a dark 8B pencil that acts more like charcoal!
A3 Bristol Board Smooth
