Description
I have never had to be specific in the title about what medium was used, but i thought it was appropriate to indicate that this is a drawing and not a photo-manip or similar
Following on from a Tear - and then a splash - I thought I would go the whole hog and do a whole person (well almost!). I cannot claim the inspiration for this piece that goes down to a great artist called Aaron Kniele aaronkneile.com - but I do claim the 40+ hours of intense, eye bleeding pencil drawing in creating this fairly large (65cm X 40cm) representation of a man running through the finish line.....in water
Drawn entirely using a mechanical 4B pencil, a little bit of eraser, blending stump and a dash of traditional HB here and there. '
The most complex and exhausting piece of work I have done, hope you like it? You can see the scale of the drawing here...
*****UPDATE*****UPDATE******
Got up early this morning to catch the morning sun and took some photos outside (as recommended ) so I have uploaded a cleaner photograph without any major shadows.
