This is similar to my other drawing - Captive;
The reference for this was taken from a wonderful photograph by John Steven Fernandez www.johnstevenfernandez.com - I suggest you check out his gallery and appreciate all of his other wonderful photographs.
Drawn on A3 Bristol Board with a range of mechanical and traditional pencils, blending stumps and erasers - took approx 15 hours.
Wonderful drawing, the emotions are excellent!
Wonderfull!! But..this eye...illuminati..
Awesome like always! I really like the eye reflection
Thanks a few people have said that - I changed the original reflection slightly as it included the photographer I think it came out ok?
just brilliant- how are you getting the white hairs in the eyebrows? electric eraser? how large is this draw?
The drawing is A3 in size, I do own an electric eraser - but never use it! I just used a fine mechanical eraser to get the white hairs in the eyebrows.
wonderful my dear
Amazing & emotional work Paul! Beautiful detail/reflection in his eye
IT must take a lot of consontration for something like this
Wow this is amazing.
The reflection on the eye Absolutely amazing.
Excellent! The reflection in the eye especially - brilliantly rendered.
Thanks - I changed the reflection a little, as the original had the photographer reflected in the eye - it also helps with giving the impression that the eye is curved
a fantastic job!!!
compelling and dramatic!
I really liked this See my gallery
Breathtaking! I greatly admire and am inspired by all of your works. I wish I had your talent.
You are far too generous - i am someone who just enjoys drawing, and you can bake, and make awesome cakes - I cannot bake
Bring tears to my eyes. Very very good!
All emotions are welcome (except hate ) - thanks for the comment
well done there! the shaddes looks so realistic!
This is so beautiful.
The sheer detail, as always, never fails to amaze me. Excellent job
Beautiful art dear Paul, very emotive
Thank you Lucila - haven't said Happy New Year to you yet - so.... Happy New Year
The detail is awesome!! I can feel the cold metal of that fence. The depth detail on that fence is great.
